Activity Insight request: Customize insights based on the categories we create

I am a mostly flat fee firm. So I need to know how long on average a specific task takes (like "Draft Trust Package" or "prep for consult"). I have a time category called "Draft Trust Package" but I would like to be able to set up a view that shows average times performed in each category that I created. This would not be a "total time spent this week on this category" but some way to say "average time this category is done from start to finish per lead/matter"

Thank you for explaining this. That makes a lot of sense, especially for flat-fee firms where the key question is not always “how much time was billed,” but “how long does this type of work usually take?”
I understand that you are looking for a view that calculates the average time spent per time category across individual leads or matters. For example, being able to see that “Draft Trust Package” takes an average of X hours from start to finish per matter, rather than only seeing the total time spent on that category during a week or month.
That is a very useful way to evaluate profitability and efficiency for flat-fee work. It could help firms better understand whether flat fees are priced correctly, identify tasks that consistently take longer than expected, and compare work effort across different matter types or categories.
We can certainly review this further. Right now, our Time Insights are more focused on time, billing, WIP, utilization, and invoicing visibility, but this is a great enhancement idea for flat-fee firms. I’ll share this with the team as a potential reporting/insights improvement, especially around average time by category per lead or matter.
