Improve Contact Merge Function with Search and Filter Options

Hello Lawcus Team,
I would like to submit a feature improvement request for the “Merge Contacts” functionality.
The current merge screen does not allow users to search, filter, or quickly locate specific contacts that need to be merged. When working with a large contact database, this becomes extremely time-consuming and difficult because users must manually scroll through a long list to find the contacts they need.
It would greatly improve efficiency if the merge tool included features such as:
Search by contact name, email, phone number, or company
Filters for narrowing down duplicate results
Sorting options (alphabetical, date created, etc.)
A faster way to identify and select duplicate records
This enhancement would make contact management much more user-friendly, especially for firms handling large volumes of contacts.

While merging contacts, we allow you to use information from both contacts or use from one as well

We have two ways in which we can merge contacts -
- From List View - Here you can filer by name, email, number and then merge
- Check Duplicates

I tried merging one of our potential clients, but instead of fully merging the records, the system only created a merged contact profile while the other two profiles remain active as leads.
This is not ideal because it continues to duplicate and fragment the data we have, which can affect the accuracy of our lead pipeline metrics and reporting.
The merge functionality I am looking for would completely combine the two (or more) profiles into a single record, with all relevant information consolidated under one profile, and the duplicate profiles removed or deactivated so that only one active record remains in the system.

Having experienced a terrible time merging contacts some time ago - only to lose data in the process - any merger feature should allow us to select which data to keep and which to delete when merging - and the ability to keep both points of data (ex: if conact Joe A has a gmail address and Joe B (same person) has a hotmail address, I would want to be able to pick one, the other, or both to remain in the final merged contact)
